It’s hard for me to believe it, but my 2 year blogiversary is coming up next week.

2 years of blogging!

When I started this gig, I had no idea where it would lead me. I certainly never envisioned it growing and thriving, and most days it’s all I can do to keep up. But it’s true what they say: when you find something you love to do, you’ll never work a day in your life. That’s not to say it hasn’t been hard, and there have definitely been some tears along the way. But overall, I would not trade what I do for anything. I feel like now, in my early thirties, after quite a few years of just being unsure of what I was supposed to do, I’ve finally found something that suits me. It’s a really, really nice feeling!

I do know, though, that none of this would be possible without you guys. Some of you have been with me from the beginning, but most of you have found me at various points throughout the last 2 years; maybe from something you saw on Pinterest, or perhaps something someone shared on Facebook. Maybe this blog post is the first one of mine you’ve ever read! Either way, I’m glad to have you here and I hope you come back many, many times to share in this adventure with me.

I wanted to do something big for my 2 year blogiversary, so I’m giving away a pretty awesome prize package! It includes a $200 gift card to Joann Fabrics, as well as all three of my pattern e-books. (The e-books were sponsored by a very awesome fan – I’ll call her “M” – who wanted to bless someone anonymously.  I want to thank her so much for her generosity!)

I LOVE all of your patterns and thank you for sharing

  • Jackie January 11, 2016, 9:11 am

My favorite pattern is the super plush faux-knit infinity scarf because it is so richly luxurious.

  • Deborah Montgomery January 11, 2016, 9:12 am

Love the baby patterns as I do a lot of things for babies in my congreation, also the hat patterns.

  • Jean January 11, 2016, 9:16 am

I tried entering your drawing but am not sure if it went through. It directed me to login with Facebook and then only connected to your blog, comments about pattern (which I love btw) so I am a little confused about your giveaway.

    • Barbara Billow January 11, 2016, 9:55 am

I cannot find the link to enter the giveaway either.

      • Judy M. Hazelo January 11, 2016, 5:12 pm

Either can I. Was this just a trick for getting us to your site?

        • Rebecca January 12, 2016, 3:19 pm

Judy, the link is just below the “enter here” graphic, and it takes a moment for the giveaway form to load. Current entries have surpassed 6,000 (which you will see for yourself on the giveaway form), so it is working. It saddens me that you would assume I’m tricking you, before wondering if perhaps the form was being glitchy. I try to not assume the worst in people and I hope you can do the same for me.

      • Rebecca January 12, 2016, 3:17 pm

        Hi Jean and Barbara,

Once you log in with Facebook, the entry form should appear. It may take a moment for it to load. 🙂

    • Suzy January 12, 2016, 8:16 am

I also have shared on fb (3x actually) and yet my 10 extra entries are not showing up either.

      • Rebecca January 12, 2016, 3:16 pm

Hi Suzy! You will get credit when someone enters the giveaway by following your link (which is a unique URL generated by Rafflecopter). You get 1 point per person, up to 10.

        • Suzy January 13, 2016, 7:30 am

Oh ok, gotcha! Thanks for all you offer to us!

  • lee January 11, 2016, 12:08 pm

My favorite pattern is Rebecca’s Call the Midwife baby blanket pattern. I made a blanket for a friend of mine and it worked up so quickly and was a very simple and easy pattern, yet looked very elegant and complicated. The pattern is cool in that it can be adapted to other things as well– I made a scarf in color-changing yarn and it turned out lovely.

  • Lyn DeFehr January 11, 2016, 12:22 pm

Love your site. I bought a set of your Stitch Markers and I LOVE them! They have saved me more than once because of the hook size on the marker! Use the correct size marker = and never use the wrong size hook again! Amen to that!
